[Video]: Marsha Ambrosius – Far Away

5 January 2011 at 5:51 pm (Entertainment, Heavy Rotation, Music, Raves, Videos) (, , , )

I ADORE this song and I’m glad the video is finally here. It may be looked at as controversial but I LOVE it – I DONT CARE! It’s sad but its REAL. I love her for doing this because it shows that gay love is still just that – LOVE. You can’t help who you love and I think she’s amazing for shedding light on a relevant topic happening right now in society. Marsha looks BEAUTIFUL in it, too! LOVE the hair, girl!

Benny ELs – This Is It

2 October 2010 at 12:07 pm (Downloads, Music, Videos) (, , , , )

Benny ELs is back with his second teaser track from his mixtape, Industry Meltdown, dropping any day now. This time he goes in over one of the most respected beats in hip hop, Camp Lo‘s “Luchini”. He’s got a crazy original flow which is the main thing that’s got me itching for more tracks off his mixtape, as he moves seamlessly from chopping up syllables with the beat, to going in double time with a tongue-twisting bar, but then slows it up for a catchy hook on the chorus.  SOURCE

Submission – The Five One – Mandatory

2 October 2010 at 12:01 pm (Downloads, Music, Videos) (, , , , , , , , )

The homie, Reggie, submitted this. I like it. It’s different but good. My foot was tapping 😉 I like this. I love the colours, the people, the way it’s filmed. Great song.

Music Video: Directed and Produced by The Five One

The Five One’s influences range from legendary rock/pop artists to the most iconic figures in hip-hop culture. If you had to define their sound you would have to imagine The Beatles rapping over a punk song made by Bob Marley. Although their sound is refreshing, the most meaningful aspect behind The Five One is their concept. Revalulion [rev-uh-loo-lee-n], is the action of personifying oneself as a color, which is a philosophical term coined by the band. The members of The Five One Red, Blue, Green, and Gold, have simplified themselves from the complexities of societal identity by becoming colors.

Lyfe Jennings Back In Jail

23 September 2010 at 2:26 pm (Celebrity, Entertainment, Music, Videos, WTF!?) (, , , , , , )

R&B singer/songwriter Lyfe Jennings was apparently sentenced today (Sept. 22) to three-and-a-half years in prison for a case in which he drove drunk and shot in the air after an argument with his baby mama and former manager, Joy.

His sentence allegedly started today in Cobb County. After his sentencing, Lyfe reported requested a trip home to say goodbye to his children, which was denied by the judge.

In case you weren’t aware, Lyfe Jennings shot to fame after completing a 10-year life sentence at the age of 19. So, unfortunately, this is round two for the talented artist.

A call to Cobb County jail wasn’t returned and the label wouldn’t confirm the situation.

In the meantime, check out Lyfe’s latest vid for the very emotional and pertinent track “If Tomorrow Never Comes.” Source

Rihanna ft. David Guerra – Who’s That Chick

21 September 2010 at 10:12 am (Entertainment, Heavy Rotation, Music, Videos) (, , )

I’m NOT a big fan of Rihanna or her music. She’s VERY hit & miss with me. Some songs I really like, other’s I LOATHE! But a few days ago a track leaked and I cannot stop playing it. I’m truly obsessed. Like my girl, Sajae said on twitter, watching this video is like seeing a bag of skittles explode LOL! It’s really fun and Rihanna looks gorgeous. One thing I could never say is that the girl is ugly or unattractive. Enjoy this video. The song is catchy as hell and if you ever see me in the club when this comes on, you’re bound to see me embarrassing myself.

Chris Brown On BET

28 June 2010 at 10:56 am (Celebrity, Entertainment, Music, Videos) (, , , , , , , , , , )

The internet was ablaze last night with talk of Chris Brown’s performance and tribute to the late legend Michael Jackson. There is NO ONE in entertainment today more fitting to do this tribute (and do it RIGHT) than Chris Brown. In all honesty, it should’ve been done last year but ….well … we all know what happened. This year, Chris had a chance to tribute HIS idol. And man, he did an AMAZING job. It was on point, it was heartfelt and while there’s NO doubt in my MIND his PR team and BET set it up that way, I believe in my HEART that the emotion that came during the end was real. The heavy symbolism last night would make anyone emotional. I truly feel CB is sorry for what he did and he’s worked hard to try and move on. He deserves another chance. The media killed Michael Jackson and they did a hell of a job trying to kill Chris. The lyrics for Man In the Mirror would break any man down given what Chris has gone through to redeem himself and his name. He never said he was innocent of what he did but he definitely said he wanted to be rid of the past and move on. BET was giving him that chance to move on and you add all that onto having the HONOUR to tribute the King of Pop? Let that man have his moment. I don’t think for a second he was crying for show. He was crying as much for his situation as he was for a legend gone too soon. And I could care less if anyone agrees with me. This is just my take on it. Chris Brown won back the hearts of many last night. And for fans like myself who never left, we love you even more, boo.

If you missed the performance, here is a youtube of it. Many are being taken down quickly so once it’s gone, it’s gone. But enjoy if you get to see it:
