What Kinda Employer Response Is This!?

27 October 2009 at 1:22 pm (Funny Things, WTF!?) (, , , , , , , )

I sent out my resume to a prospective employer for a personal assistant/office administration position. After reading this email I’m almost certain you will feel how I feel .. he wants more of a “personal assistant” than an office administrator.  It’s not really in my field but beggers can’t be choosers. I’m mixing it up as far as where my resume goes BUT …. this is just out of hand. There are SO many red flags and problems  with this email (which I bolded). Clearly, I have no plans to respond. All feedback is MUCH appreciated and welcomed – lol:

Thanks for your application — I wanted to provide a few more details regarding the position.  I am essentially looking for someone who can join my home-based business on a part-time basis, and provide administrative / personal assistance on a wide range of activities, including filing, paper-work, marketing assistance (concept, design, modeling, etc.).  The selected candidate would be working out of the Mississauga area near Dixie and Dundas, where my home-office is located.  Schedule is flexible or can be flexible, and part-time hours are also available.   Desired candidate should be very personable, outgoing, flexible, etc.  Despite this being a home-based position with no client-exposure, the expectation remains that the candidate dress appropriately for work – including heels, make-up, and suitable attire to reflect the nature of the job (marketing, design, youthful and dynamic brand — think Moxie’s –etc.).   Interviews are being scheduled at this point, and I would appreciate it if you could send me two photographs of yourself as well as responses to the following questions:

1) preferred schedule
2) salary expectations
3) minimum and maximum hours per week
4) preferred dress attire
5) flexibility – in terms of hours, schedule, pay, dress  attire, etc.
6) interview availability on Thursday between 7pm and 11pm – are you available and for what slot?

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you,
Raj.

This dude needs to place a personal ad- not a job posting! Sounds like he definitely needs ‘hands on’ help if you know what I mean!

Had to be from CL, right? People must think they’re dealing with idiots. Someone who police training should go there with a hidden video camera and videotape this foolishness. *kissteet*
