A B O U T  M E

I’m a young woman that adores writing. I enjoy researching. I enjoy the net. I enjoy information. If you add all these things up its the perfect formula for a blogger. I’ve been writing since I was in grade school and have dreams of publishing a book someday if I can ever sit down and find the time to take it seriously. I live in the greatest city in Canada: Toronto!  I love music, reading, shopping and most of all my friends and family. I prefer the web and books to TV and movies but I do enjoy staple shows such as 24, Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Big Brother, So You Think You Can Dance and a few others. I’m just a girl thats been through many ups and downs and is always striving to be a better person. Writing is a passion of mine and helps assist me in that goal.

W H Y  C O R P R A H  L A N F R E Y?

Corprah Lanfrey is a play on my real name and my favourite woman in the world (next to my mother of course ). I won’t disclose my real name on here for obvious reasons. I didn’t give myself this name. It all started on Facebook a couple years ago when the notes I would write would garner much attention, discussion and debates among the people on my friendslist. I was often told that I needed my own show in light of this and from those notes an old and good friend of mine came up with this name. Shortly thereafter came this blog.

I have a voice. I intend to use it.

With the internet comes information at our fingertips. Blogging has seemingly become the new “trend” or thing to do and while you may get small doses of celebrity gossip or music downloads, my intentions are to write and inform. To motivate and inspire. I love mixing things up and I love that my blog has no typical structure. My mind is as random as my posts and I can be talking about the latest hip hop track to the love in my heart to the brutal murder that happened downtown all in one day.

With that said, I want everyone that reads my blog to know this is my personal site to offer opinions on stories and subjects – these opinions are not always reflective of how you or others may feel so I welcome any and all comments and discussions but I won’t tolerate any sort of abuse to myself or any other readers that have left comments. If I use a picture or web article to post information I always disclose my source so that any discrepancies are found with them and not me. I am not a journalist nor a reporter so any facts shown in my posts are directly related to the source from which I got it.
