Woman asked to leave Pearson airport after sleeping over for a month

TORONTO — She wasn’t enduring the flight delay from hell and had no intentions of leaving on a jet plane, so police said she had to leave.
An unidentified woman believed to be in her 40s was given bus fare and asked to vacate Toronto’s Pearson International Airport on Wednesday morning after staff told police she had been sleeping there for about a month.
”They alerted us to the fact there was a person that they realized they had noticed way back, even at Easter, as being around the terminal a lot and thought she might be living there,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Marlene Murphy.
The woman, who was lugging around a suitcase, didn’t appear to have any mental issues and left the airport without incident.
”I don’t know if she was happy there — I mean, it is a lovely place — but certainly she didn’t cause a fuss or any trouble. It’s just that people can’t stay there unless they’re travelling through,” Murphy said.
It’s not unheard of to get reports of people sleeping in the airport for extended periods of time, said Trish Krale, a spokeswoman for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
”It’s a rare occurrence but it does happen from time to time,” she said.
And because the airport never closes, it’s not unusual for people to be seen walking around — or catching a quick nap — overnight.
”It wouldn’t be unusual to see people here through the night.”

I’m Gonna Be A Hostess!
So I was approached by a friend of mine today for an opportunity to do a lil something something. I’ve been asked to host an upcoming event that I’m rather excited about. I have to keep many details secret as the event is still in the planning stages and I don’t want to give out any false or misleading information but I’m so excited about it that I just had to tell someone … so here I am. LOL. Once more information becomes available you will definitely be one of the first groups of people to hear all about it. I promise.
I’m not familiar with the group MCYS (Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports) that commissioned this commercial, nor am I aware of the politics going on in Singapore but I assume there is something up because of all the heated comments for and against this commercial. Without knowing these things, I watched it first on my friends facebook page and then searched for it on youtube to post it here and THAT is where I came to find out that people actually have a problem with it. When I watched, I teared up and revelled at the meaning of family and love. I suppose that maybe had I had some sort of history of this group I may have felt something else. I also see cries of the commercial being a rip off of Good Will Hunting, which, to me is irrelevant. Does it make the commercial any less meaningful? In the end, I still feel the message outshines the controversy and that message is: to ignore the small things that may annoy or bother you about your loved ones because when they are gone you will desperately want, at the very least, those small things to still be happening. Why? For this means they are still with you. Love your family and friends because life is too short and you never know when someone will be gone.
And Another One …
…. exam #2 commences in T-minus 10 minutes (or so – lol – my prof isn’t here yet). Once I’m finished this exam, though, I’m heading back home and straight to bed – hopefully. I hope I’m not too wound up to sleep. I really need it after being up so late studying last night – ugh. I’m feeling just as good and prepared about this exam as I was for the first one which is a good thing SO I hope to match (or even best) my previous mark of 96%. Wish me luck
