He is originally from Stratford, ON Canada and is just a super awesome talent. Island Def Jam was smart to scoop him up. All this and he’s only 15!!! What an adorable kid. Cartoons were ALWAYS the most favourite part of my Sunday morning as a child coming up in the 80’s and early 90’s. I have no idea what shows actually AIRED on Sunday mornings; my memory isn’t THAT good but here are some of the best intros of that time. They aren’t all necessarily my favourite shows but definitely my favourite intros. Back then the intro to a show and cartoon were almost as good, if not better than the actual show itself. Every now and then I peruse Youtube for the oddest old school songs and have trouble finding them but you can always count on at least one person dancing to the song you want or covering it. So, last week I was going through youtube looking for Brandy’s Truthfully and couldn’t find it (of course) but I saw a video of a 13-yr old girl singing it. Her name is Madison Boxa and my interest was piqued so I clicked and was blown away:
I could tell it was an older video so I said to myself, “OMG, if she sounds like this at 13 what does she sound like NOW!?” I got excited. LOL. I always do when I hear a fresh voice, especially from Canada. So I went to her channel, checked out her more recent vids and her website. This young lady is destined for greatness. She’s got a great voice, the look and the confidence AND she writes her own songs. Also, if you watch her on stage you will see her presence is simply amazing. I wish her nothing but success. Remember the name, Madison Boxa.
